A 200-foot asteroid called 2023 DZ2 is set to pass close to Earth at less than half the distance of the Moon on Saturday, March 25, according to astronomers. Its closest approach is anticipated around 2.51 pm CT. While close approaches are common, those by objects this size - 44 to 99 metres in diameter - are rare, occurring only once every decade, according to NASA. Skywatchers in the northern hemisphere may be able to see the asteroid as it speeds past Earth.
